Covid Response

Our trained volunteers are continuing to support vulnerable pregnant women but doing so remotely by phone and other media platforms, that best suit them and their needs. Our support during labour is still taking place in person for those mums with no support or where additional support from our Mates is important. We are working in collaboration with the midwifery teams at Royal London, Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals to ensure this happens as smoothly as possible.

We are providing those mums we support with taxis to their antenatal appointments and where possible return to back to their home.

Referrals can be made by midwifery or other health professionals using our digital links or via our NHS email account. We welcome self-referrals from women who need support or from other organisations working with vulnerable women. Click the button below to refer yourself:

Our team are providing support and advocacy remotely in partnership with the midwifery team at the Royal London Hospital. Including translations when needed – Somali and French. Our wellbeing support by our counsellor is being offered remotely. We are currently working on how best to continue delivering our education and safeguarding training as well as developing our local community café on-line.
