Crowdfunding Campaign December 2015

WHFS (Women’s Health & Family Services) launched our #DonateWHFS Crowdfunding campaign at our AGM in October 2015 to continue our invaluable work for east London communities.  After raising £3,200 in total (£1,475 via Crowdfunder and a further £1,725 offline) our Crowdfunding campaign is now closed, thank you to everyone who donated!

About the Campaign

A crucial, but sadly unglamorous, requirement is the need to fund core costs - things like office space, photocopiers and computers.  For WHFS – despite active financial management – these running costs are not currently being entirely met and funds are needed to bridge the gap in the short term.

In addition, recent cuts to government spending mean that projects such as Supporting Bilingual Families are currently unfunded - this could leave local communities and families in Tower Hamlets without the means to access vital healthcare services.

WHFS is asking for donations that can change both these things and allow WHFS to continue all its vital work and existing projects that include Maternity Mates, Diabetes Education, Diabetes Befriending, Cancer Awareness and the FGM /C (Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting) projects.

The #DonateWHFS Crowdfunding campaign will run until 10th December 2015 and is the first time WHFS has attempted this kind of campaign.  It has been pulled together thanks to the volunteer efforts of our community of supporters.
