Chair of Impact, Monitoring & Evaluation Group - Dr Shoba Poduval
Dr Shoba Poduval is a GP and joined the WHFS Board of Trustees in 2012. Shoba is Chair of the WHFS Impact, Monitoring and Evaluation Group (IMEG). The role of IMEG is to help project managers, staff and volunteers monitor the size and impact of our projects on clients' health and wellbeing.
Shoba has lived in Tower Hamlets for 6 years and trained as a junior doctor at the Royal London and Mile End Hospitals. Currently Shoba is a GP in Hackney and Research Fellow at the Department of Primary Care at University College London (UCL). Her interests include educating patients about preventing and managing long-term conditions like diabetes.
At UCL she is currently developing an online education programme for patients newly diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Shoba has an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and her other passions include travelling, cooking, exercise and being an Aunty. She runs with the Springfield Running Group and completed the Hackney Half Marathon in 2014 for Cancer Research UK.
