Trustee - Dr Pam Schickler
Dr Pam Schickler joined the WHFS Board of Trustees in 2002, since her return from the USA. In this time she has chaired the Management Committee, chaired various sub-committees, conducted a study on ‘Barriers to Immunisation’ for Tower Hamlets Public Health Department on behalf of WHFS and carried out evaluations on a number of WHFS’s projects.
Before her retirement in 2007, Pam was a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the MSc in Health Promotion at London Southbank University. She has lived in the United States and previously taught Health Promotion on the Masters in Public Health Nutrition course at Westminster University and was an external examiner at Brighton University. Her special areas of interest are education, communication, research methods and wellbeing (the subject of her PhD). Pam has two grown up sons, both working abroad, and two lovely grandchildren who she loves visiting in Columbia when she can.
