Dance for Health

Please Note

The Dance for Health sessions have been completed. However, please check back regularly, as WHFS continuously seeks funding and aims to resume sessions.  The following details are for information only.

Dance for Health - sessions completed in 2016

WHFS (Women’s Health & Family Services) provided dance sessions as part of our supporting elders project, Stay Active @70+.  “Dance for Health” ran for 6 weeks from August 2016 at the Tredegar Community Centre in Bow, and was open to people over 65 from the Chinese and Vietnamese communities living in Tower Hamlets.

We have a fully trained dance tutor who provided simple and enjoyable dance tuition to help with co-ordination, balance and mental stimulation.  This fabulous dancing opportunity is always conducted in a safe and relaxed environment, is usually free of charge with refreshments provided.

Further information

These sessions were part of the Stay Active @70+ project provided by WHFS.  Please click here for more information and how to get involved in volunteering opportunities, social activities and developing the activities of community groups supporting people over 70 in Tower Hamlets.
