Donate to WHFS
WHFS (Women's Health & Family Services) is a multi-cultural, community health charity, focused on health and empowerment issues for disadvantaged women and their families.
We are based in Tower Hamlets, one of the most deprived areas in Britain where, as a direct result of health inequalities, low life-expectancy is widespread. We have been working and campaigning since 1981 to tackle these inequalities, by promoting health education and equal access to healthcare for local communities and by providing health services for women and their families.

Why support WHFS?
As a small charity, we are enormously dependent on the contributions of individuals – those who give us their time as volunteers and those (like you we hope!) who are willing to make a donation to support our work. If you’d like to get more involved with the work of WHFS, please see our Get Involved page for details of how you can Volunteer or Partner With Us.
Where your donation goes
All of our projects work to improve the health and wellbeing of local women and their families in east London. We also have a long history of influencing statutory health planning and services, to better respond to the needs of local communities.
Our current health projects include:
- Our flagship Maternity Mates™ programme – supporting vulnerable women during pregnancy, birth and the early weeks of life with a newborn.
- Our FGM /C (female genital mutilation/cutting) project – building preventative awareness within the community and supporting women affected by FGM /C.

Thank you for considering making a donation to WHFS – it really does make a difference.
